The Colour WheeL pROJECT
As a winning recipient of Art Starts Platform-A Grant Program 2016, funded by Toronto Arts Council, I started the Colour Wheel Project. This initiative revitalizes high traffic areas within hospitals and wellness facilities into colourful spaces that inspire mindfulness and creativity. The goal is to improve the medical care experience of patients and families.
The project unveiled its mural Beach Mandalas, at the Michael Garron Hospital's K2 Oncology Wing last spring, transforming its diagnosis and treatment quiet room into a meditation mural gallery. Collaborating with patients and staff, the mural is an exploration of Colour Therapy as a healing art, consciously making colour its essential component to affect positive emotion..
The Project is scheduled to unveil a brand new mural at the Michael Garron Hospital this spring 2017.
